Lakewood partners with Fred Hollows Foundation

Lakewood Propagation is proud to announce it has partnered with the Fred Hollows Foundation.

We will be raising money for this worthy cause through the sale of one of our hardy Australian natives. With every tray of Elaeocarpus reticulatus Green Dream PBR sold, Lakewood will donate $12 to the Fred Hollows Foundation helping them put an end to avoidable blindness.

Green Dream

They work closely with the Indigenous communities in Australia and across the world and we are pleased to be able to promote and support their great work.

We have refined our propagation technique and produced an attractive selection of the better known Blueberry Ash. With its finer leaf and more compact growth habit, Green Dream PBR really becomes a handy inclusion in any garden or landscaping display. It is a beautiful native tree with masses of white flowers and the glossy blue fruit to follow. It’s versatility is second to none, shining as a strong display tree attracting birds and wildlife, or challenging any traditional Lilly Pilly hedge, mass planted with its shiny leaf and dense, compact growth. Regular clipping and shaping will reward owners with a solid hedge and effective wind break.

It grows well in many climates, suiting both the tropical Queensland weather as well as the more southern state’s cooler temparatures.

This plant is produced in high numbers and is ready now for purchase in a 42mm tube. Add it to your next order and help us to raise funds to support the Fred Hollows Foundation.

Well established Green Dream tubes ready for growing on or planting out. This plant is managed by Complete Plant Management. PLEASE NOTE: This plant has now been granted provisional PBR protection. Unauthorised commercial propagation or any sale, conditioning, export, import or stocking of propagating material of this variety is an infringement under the Plant Breeder’s Rights Act 1994.

  1. Hi, I would just like to say how impressed I am with this selection of Elaeocarpus reticulatus. I have recommended it and planted it in a number of landscapes and it has performed very well. The flowering this year has been spectacular! I will be planting many more of this great native plant in landscapes and gardens.
    Cheers
